I am always trying to think of some fun ideas for the kids to have fun in the snow with. Here are some of the snow-much fun activities we have tried!
Ice Gems
These ice gems were a hit and so simple to make! All I needed was ice cube trays (or a cupcake pan) water and food coloring! Let freeze over night and pop them out for fun in the snow!

Squirt Bottles
These cheap squirt bottles are from the dollar store and completely reusable each time. Fill them up with water, add food coloring, and they are ready! Kids can draw in the snow or decorate their snowman with color!
Paint the Snow
An easy (and warm) snow activity. All you need is cups of water and food coloring, paint brushes, and a pan for the snow! Kids can enjoy the snow while staying inside!

Bring the Snow Inside
A great activity for the little ones. All you need is a bowl and some toys! I have even used my water table in the kitchen filled with snow and let them play and have fun while staying warm (they may want to wear gloves).

Tubing
Tubing or sledding down our front hill is one of our favorite snow activities! No hill? There are so many go-to spots in every community to go tubing/sledding!

Build (and decorate) a Snowman
If the snow packs well we always build a snowman in the yard. We have these awesome snowman kits from The Christmas Tree Shop, but we also have a collection of old hats, gloves, and scarves that we like to use. When was a kid we had a whole bag full of snowman accessories to use - hats, gloves, scarves, toys for eyes and buttons, toys for arms, cheerleader pom poms for hair, and so much more. We also like to decorate our snowmen with food coloring with our squirt bottles.
Build a Fort
We are new to fort building but we tried our best, then we decorated it with our ice gems!
